Strength & Conditioning

In-person and remote programming to elevate your game

Overview

Soccer involves complex, multi-joint skills that engage multiple muscle groups at once. Due to the contribution of many different muscle groups, no single group is maximally overloaded. This is where strength training can excel. It specifically allows us to target individual muscle groups, exposing them to greater stress than soccer alone, thereby creating adaptions that will enhance on-field performance.

Research has shown that strength training is not only safe for youth athletes and children as young as 5, but can also:

  1. Reduce injuries

  2. Improve performance in sport

However not all strength and conditioning training programs achieve the same results, it’s important that programs are individualised and targeted to create specific outcomes, such as increased sprint speed or acceleration.
